Abstrakt: The article discusses the importance of earthworms in gardening. The presence or lack of earthworm indicates the health of the soil as well as it potential for food production. Earthworms break soil compaction by mixing large and small soil aggregates. They also enhance water infiltration and water retention by creating mazes as they tunnel through soil, thereby creating pathways for water to permeate.
