Abstrakt: The article examines the outcomes of brownfield site redevelopment integration with economic development and urban design in Georgia. As a result of the U.S. 1980 Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the brownfield redevelopment problems exist. To solve the problems created by deindustrialization, the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) 1995 Brownfield Action Agenda was implemented with the aim to promote economic development that fostered a sophisticated brownfield industry including specifications in environmental consulting, finance & investment, and remediation. Details related to the failures of redevelopment projects in Georgia are discussed.
