The article discusses the Sustainability Plan of London in England for the 2012 Olympic Games. The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) anticipates to recycle waste products and materials by 90 percent which will be recovered from the construction of stadium, velodrome, and aquatic centre and clearing of the Olympic site. It reveals that Veolia Environmental Services PLC, along with other recycle and waste management companies, will be establishing waste facilities near the site for the recovery of waste products. In addition, the city also expects to recycle 70 percent of food wastes during the event as well as utilize reusable food packaging. |
