Abstrakt: This article presents some observations about the reduced number of lambs of the bighorn sheep found in California's Mojave Desert. Population ecologist John Wehausen has been counting the sheep since 1974 and he has observed a dramatic reduction in the number of baby bighorns. He attributes the reduction to a lack of nutritional vegetation caused by the decrease in rainfall in the area. Wehausen believes the rainfall has been affected by global warming and is concerned about the future of the animal if global warming continues.
