The article reports that the American Society for Animal Science has elected new officers at its 58th annual meeting. Elected fellows include: president, J. E. Oldfield, Oregon State University, Corvallis; vice president, R. H. Dutt, University of Kentucky, Lexington; and secretary-treasurer, A. M. Pearson, Michigan State University, East Lansing. The society honored several of the nation's outstanding animal scientists at the Society's Awards Banquet held during the annual meeting. Awardees included Wise Burroughs and Sam L. Hansard, who received the American Feed Manufacturer's Association Award. |
