Abstrakt: The article presents a study which investigates the effects of frequency and large-scale atmospheric circulation changes on the variability of low-frequency climate in Central Europe since 1780. A particular decomposition during the 1780-1995 period is applied to classify the monthly mean sea level pressure (SLP) grids and the monthly historical station data on temperature and precipitation changes. The study includes distinct periods involving man's impact on climate and allows the assessment of the changes in circulation-climate relationships.
