Abstrakt: The article highlights strategies for implementing climate-friendly initiatives that respond to the threats of global warming in the U.S. Since the 1950s, people all over the world have more than tripled emissions of the gas most responsible for global warming, carbon dioxide. Estimates conclude that the catastrophic tipping point that might commit everyone to huge seal-level increases may be reached at atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide as low as 450 parts per million. An example of a climate-friendly initiative the development of hybrid vehicles and other strategies that focus on carbon sequestration.
