The article discusses issues of interest to members of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. The author is reflecting on the dependence of the U.S. on fossil fuels. He emphasizes the Society's support of the 25x'25 and its goal that 25 percent of American energy come from renewable resources by 2025. He is calling on members to support the government's energy policy so that oil prices do not derail progress on renewable fuels and that engineers should show optimism in solving the energy crisis. |
