The article offers a look at several threats or opportunities that the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) discerned in 2005. ASABE members were concerned that many people were not familiar with the purpose of the society. In order to ensure the continuation of the agricultural engineering professional engineering licensing exam, ASABE needs to have more takers. The ability of ASABE to reduce its dependence on petroleum is explained and information on the issue of loss of identity and fragmentation or diversity is also presented. |
