Abstrakt:	The article discusses the use of passive solar design for buildings or houses. The design uses the sun as the source of energy. The use of passive solar design was widespread in the United States in the early 1980's due to the energy crisis. After many years, the use of passive solar has been resurrected due to various factors like high oil prices. Passive solar will cater to the needs of the people in the 21st century. It helps a house to remain warm or insulated despite the winter season. Passive solar design is cheaper compared to active solar design.
