Abstrakt:	The article presents the existing water management systems in the U.S. and the necessary reforms for a more holistic approach to water management. The laws governing the abundant freshwater resources of the U.S. have been successful in water conservation and its efficient utilization programs. Suggested reforms on these laws to better connect, in terms of law and institutions, the symbiotic relationship between land use and water, are provided.
