Abstrakt: This article presents chapter two of U.S. environmental laws entitled Air Quality. Provisions are provided on the structure of air quality regulation, defining conventional pollutants and ambient air quality, permits for stationary sources, regulating routine emissions of air contaminants, prevention of accidental release, protection of the stratospheric ozone layer, control of acid deposition, mobile sources, Clean Air Act administration and enforcement, and climate change. The ozone protection section details regulated substances, phaseouts for class one and class two substances, production and consumption allowances, and requirements for record-keeping and reporting.
