Abstrakt:	The article comments on a study by F. J. Bove and colleagues which examined the association between cancer incidence and exposure to industrial solvents in drinking water at U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Topics discussed include the increased risks of several cancers among military personnel at Camp Lejeune, a comparison of cancer mortality among Marine Corps and Navy personnel and civilians at camps Lejeune and Pendleton, and the limitations of the exposure assessment.
