The study focuses into the issues that farmers in Tamil Nadu's northwestern region confront when using cold storage units, as well as their recommendations for enhancing these facilities. A purposive sampling strategy was used to survey 125 farmers, which were then evaluated using Garett ranking and NVivo qualitative analysis. The study found important problems, such as high storage costs, loss of crop quality, and a lack of awareness, that impede successful use of cold storage. Farmers proposed increasing training programs, offering government subsidies, and upgrading infrastructure to better meet their cold storage demands. The findings highlight the need of tackling these multiple concerns in order to improve agricultural output and economic sustainability in the region. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
