Abstrakt: This article discusses the resilience of the Douro wine terroir in the face of climate change. The Douro region in Portugal is known for its vineyards and is the twelfth largest wine producer in the world. The landscape of the region, with its schist-walled terraces, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Climate change poses challenges to viticulture, including shorter growing seasons and increased aridity. However, the region's diverse grape varieties and historical adaptations to the landscape provide resilience and potential strategies for mitigating the effects of climate change. Further research is needed to understand the relationship between climate change and wine characteristics in the region. [Extracted from the article]
