A group of senior women in Switzerland, known as Senior Women for Climate Protection Switzerland, recently won a landmark case against the Swiss government. The European Court of Human Rights ruled that the government had violated their rights by not adequately addressing the climate crisis. The women argued that they were particularly vulnerable to climate change due to their age and gender, and that the government's failure to meet greenhouse gas reduction targets violated their human rights.
