This article provides a comprehensive evaluation of the fertility of farm soils in the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Doda in the NW Himalayas, India. The study analyzes the physico-chemical characteristics and available nutrients of soil samples from different land uses. The results show that the soils have suitable pH levels and electrical conductivity values for growing most crops, with medium to very high organic carbon content. However, deficiencies or low levels of available secondary nutrients and micronutrients are observed in some soils. The study emphasizes the importance of site-specific recommendations to enhance crop yield and quality. [Extracted from the article] |
