Abstrakt: The article "Mesotrione: A New Herbicide for Productivity and Profitability of Maize (Zea mays L.)" evaluates the effects of mesotrione herbicide on the growth and yield of maize. The study found that the application of mesotrione herbicide resulted in higher kernel yield, stover yield, and benefit-cost ratio compared to other treatments. Weeds such as Alternanthra sessilis, Borreria articularis, and Cyperus rotundus were observed in the experiment. The study suggests that mesotrione herbicide can be an effective tool for weed control in maize cultivation, based on its positive effects on weed control, maize yield, and economics.
