This document explores the impact of foliar application of macro and micronutrients on the growth and quality of small cardamom seedlings. The study found that using a combination of these nutrients resulted in significant improvements in various parameters, such as pseudostem height, leaf number, chlorophyll content, and root parameters. The use of foliar nutrients was found to be more effective than soil application, as it enhanced nutrient absorption and reduced soil chemical contamination. This research is valuable for enhancing the production and productivity of small cardamom, an important spice and medicinal crop in India. Similar findings have been reported in studies on other crops like large cardamom and turmeric. Overall, the combined application of macro and micronutrients is recommended for the growth and development of cardamom seedlings. [Extracted from the article] |
