This article provides information on the incidence of various viruses, such as Cymbidium Mosaic Virus (CYMV), Odontoglossum Ring Spot Virus (ORSV), Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV), Potex Virus, and Poty Virus, in Dendrobium orchids. The study reveals that CYMV is the most common virus found in Dendrobium orchids. The research utilized techniques like Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and transmission electron microscopy to detect and confirm the presence of these viruses. The article also highlights the importance of testing orchids from other countries before introducing them to India. Additionally, the text includes three sources that discuss the cloning of genes from infected orchids, the coexistence of different viruses on hot pepper plants, and the global orchid market, providing valuable information for researchers interested in plant viruses and the orchid industry.
