This correction notice addresses two errors in the 2022 article "DNA Barcoding Reveals Generalization and Host Overlap in Hummingbird Flower Mites: Implications for the Mating Rendezvous Hypothesis" published in the American Naturalist. The first correction involves the identification of mite genera, with eight species of Proctolaelaps, four of Rhinoseius, one of Tropicoseius, three of Lasioseius, and two unidentified species being confirmed or corrected. The second correction pertains to spelling errors in the introduction, specifically the misspelling of "Tropicoseius" as "Tropicoseus." The conclusions of the original publication remain unchanged.
