Abstrakt: In the article, the authors examine whether the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) adoption of standards for aircraft emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is just a case of barmecide due to its alleged lack of real benefits. Also cited are the laws mandating EPA to address aircraft pollution like the Clean Air Act, and the EPA's collaboration with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to promote the ICAO standards.
