Organochlorine Pesticide Residues in Cow's Milk in Uganda.

Abstrakt: The article discusses a study which describes and measures the amount of organochlorine residues on the cow's milk and evaluate the degree of environmental pollution which was contributed by these pesticides to mankind. Forty farm in Kampala and Iganga, Uganda are chosen due to its abundancy in terms of cow rearing. One hundred forty-one samples are collected in which 69 of the samples are coming from Kampala district and 72 from the rural areas of Iganga. The researchers provided a questionnaire to the people in the two districts to acquire information on the rearing methods, breeding and the pesticides used in plants by the people living in the area. The samples are examined by using various devices. The result of the study on the levels of organochlorine pollutions is offered.
