The article presents a study in which the toxicity of R-11 surfactant is compared to two different sizes of juvenile rainbow trout under standardized test conditions. Researchers conducted static 96 hour acute toxicity tests and the two different sizes of juvenile rainbow trout within an environmental chamber. Small juvenile rainbow trout were obtained from Troutlodge, McMillan, Washington D.C. Upon receipt, the fish were acclimated to flowing dechlorinated city water for at least 5 day prior to test initiation. Fish were fed to satiation until 2 day before test initiation. |
