We shouldn't close our eyes, because the present Earth is as much a valid reference point for envisioning the New Earth as our present bodies are a valid reference point for envisioning our new bodies".23 Within this line of thought, all living and nonliving things on Earth matter because God created them and has intended them for His glory.24 Christ's redemptive plan that is laid out is not only to rescue the inhabitants of our planet but the planet itself.
