Abstrakt: The article examines how do ecosystem-based planning units represent different components of biodiversity. It assessess the potential for ecological vegetation classes to be used as biodiversity management units in an ecosystem in Victoria. It suggests that the use of ecological vegetation classes as biodiversity plant management units may account reasonably well for birds, mammals and trees.
