The article discusses a study on the effects of land use and deforestation in ecosystems in Los Tuxtlas Region of Mexico. Topics include analysis of variables like total aboveground biomass, and nutrients in vegetation and soils; land use gradient in primary forests, pastures, and cornfields; and findings inferring loss of nitrogen and sulpher in young volcanic soils. |
