Abstrakt: The article discusses a study which focuses on the role of biodiversity offsets as a solution to widespread poorly compensated biodiversity loss. Topics discussed include limitations of restoration offsets in addressing residual impacts on biodiversity, loss of biodiversity in developed countries with well-developed nature conservation policies and insufficiency of old-growth habitat models.
