This book, Introduction to Microprocessors has been written in accordance with the new syllabus prescribed by the U.P. Technical University for the B.Tech degree students of Electronics and Communication Engineering. However, it will fulfil the requirements of the students of other universities also. Divided into 13 chapters the book has been written in a lucid, comprehensible and crystal-clear language. The subject has been dealt with in such a manner as if a teacher is sitting besides the students and is explaining it to them. The topics which have been dealt with in this book are the computer number formats and the concept of various digital devices, introduction to microprocessors, the outlines of 8-bit microprocessor, the outlines of basic instruction set of 8085 processor, 16-bit microprocessor 8086 architecture, basics of instruction set of 8086 processor, the assembly language programming techniques of 8085 and 8086, the basics of interfacing microprocessors, the concepts of DAC and ADC and the concepts of advanced microprocessors.
