The article focuses in the concept of the embedded librarianship in the research context. Considered effective in applying the knowledge and skills of librarians to address information challenges, the model of embedded librarianship allows librarians to develop stronger link with those they serve. One library that develops embedded liaison programs include the Welch Medical Library at John Hopkins University. Several advice for embedded librarians include being a team player, securing support from organization and colleagues, having an entrepreneurial mindset and accepting risk. |
