Abstrakt: The author discusses the importance of user engagement in the development of digitised scholarly resources with case studies from the Great Britain Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) Digitization Programme. The programme placed a strong emphasis on the establishment of digital collections. The author provides examples of some of the key areas where interaction with users has been most practicable that have emerged from the case studies of two digitisation projects.
