The article discusses legislative bills that are expected to impact libraries and library workers in the U.S. Topics include a bill that would have prohibited any public employee from spending public funds with the American Library Association (ALA), campaigns that are crucial in bringing both legislators and the public to a shared awareness of the issues facing libraries, and a bill that would grant local parish authorities the ability to exercise control over the library budgeting process. |
