Abstrakt: |
This article discusses the efforts of the Research Services Department at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, to engage and re-energize students' relationship with the library. The department implemented various initiatives, such as adding new zines to the collection, hiring student interns, and organizing zine-making workshops. They also revamped the Performing Arts Resource Center to create a more inviting space for students. Additionally, the library focused on engaging students outside of the library through pop-up reference support, a campus book club, and cultural displays and programming. These efforts aimed to increase student engagement, break down barriers, and create a more inclusive and welcoming environment in the library. [Extracted from the article] |
