Background: Balance refers to the ability of the body to maintain a stable state in space. In daily life, almost any activity of human being is carried out while maintaining the balance of the body, so the balance of ability to be good or bad and the ability to move has a great correlation, but also the focus of scholars'' research. However, considering the cost and complexity of using motion capture systems and force plates in the laboratory to collect measurement data, it greatly limits the accessibility and convenience of the experiment. In recent years, the development of science and technology and smart insoles, so that the insole has more functions. Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the parameters of the plantar pressure and body center of gravity collected by the smart insole with the data collected on the gait laboratory''s force plate and analyze the correlation. Method: The study was to record the changes of body pressure center (COP) in a healthy adult while maintaining the static stability of different standing postures under open and closed eyes with the correlation between the two different data collection methods. Data collection and analysis were conducted to compare 800 data within 16 seconds (pressure detection frequency set to 50 Hz) in different standing postures and situations. Maximum displacement of X axis, Y axis and total displacement of COP were calculated. The correlation coefficients between the two measuring tools were calculated to analyze the correlation between the two different test tools. Results: This study showed that the change strains of the X and Y axes of the body pressure center data obtained by the two measurement methods were analyzed according to the Pearson''s correlation coefficient, which showed a significant positive correlation between the smart insole and the force plate. The data change observed by smart insole can also be observed consistent change on force plate. Conclusion: There was a significant correlation between smart insoles and the force plate. The action lab could provide a lightweight, highly credible and fast-repeatable research tool that could record the entire movement process, it helps collection data and presents more real-time data. In summary, the development of tools in the mobile laboratory has a potential for non-negligible impact on future related issues and sports research.
