Vietnam is taking part in an open economy with more and more business activities and international trade. However, most of Vietnam's products do not seem to compete with same types of product from other countries. There are many reasons affect to this, but one of the most influential and important factors of every firms is supply chain management and, ultimately, logistics management. Logistics activity plays an important role in supply chain management for all companies. In Vietnam, logistics sector is still in the early development stage, far behind compared to other developed countries. Therefore, to increase the firm’s competitiveness in global trade, Vietnamese enterprises need to improve and develop a lot, especially logistics management. It is also the author's inspiration to help Vietnamese businesses develop this industry. The author tried to study the topic of "Factors Affecting Logistics Management for Vietnamese Companies” and has chosen Express Thanh Dat Joint Stock Company - one of the typical logistics company in Vietnam as the object to complete this thesis. The study reviews some literature related to logistics field and logistics management, after which framework of factors affecting logistics management was identified. The research methodology was also mentioned based on aforementioned framework, from which a questionnaire was formed. The analysis of thedata was conducted after it was collected. The result shows that there are four factorswhich affect directly logistics management: Political Stability, Backward Logistics Infrastructure, Packaging & Storage, Currency Fluctuations. And after using analysis methods, the results demonstrate political stability, and backward logistics infrastructure are crucial focus factors impact to logistics management in Express Thanh Dat Joint Stock Company.
