A study of antecedents and consequences of abusive supervision: the interaction between narcissism and perceived job security

| Popis: | 105 According to the previous studies about abusive supervision, few studies refer to the moderate effect of job security between narcissism and abusive supervision. This study examined the effect of job security. In a survey-based study of 197 subordinates and 43 supervisors, we found that, as a moderator, perceived job security will positively moderate the relationship between narcissism and abusive supervision, and we also verify the negative correlation between abusive supervision and employee’s voice, the positive correlation between abusive supervision and employee’s silence. To sum up, the higher job security the supervisor perceived, the more abusive supervision occurred. |
