Research on the Effectiveness of the Integration of Technology Information into Nature and Science Technology Teaching

Popis: | 105 This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the integration of technology information into nature and science technology teaching on the third graders’ learning achievement, learning retention, and their perceptions on multimedia teaching. A quasi-experimental design was used. Two third-grade classes in Taichung City were randomly selected. They were assigned to the experimental group for 27 students and the control group for 26 students and received multimedia online teaching and traditional method teaching respectfully. The experimental group responded to a multimedia online teaching questionnaire and online discussion to analyze their online teaching experience. Single factor ANCOVA, t-tests and qualitative inductive analysis are employed. There are significant differences on the learning achievement; no differences are found in their learning retention. The quantitative data shows 63.61% participants report a positive attitude to multimedia online teaching. Suggestions for the references of future research based on the findings are provided. |
