Investigation of Combined Carbon-based Materials with Transition Metal Dichalcogenides and Metal Oxide for Supercapacitor Applications

Popis: | 105 In the present study, we mainly utilized the Transition Metal Dichalcogenides and Metal Oxide combined with carbon based materials for the investigation of the supercapacitors. The experiment can be divided into two main studies. In the first study, activating agent potassium hydroxide (KOH) was utilized to improve the surface area and gravimetric capacitance for the activated carbon based supercapacitors. After that, the KOH activation activated were combined with MoS2 by hydrothermal method to prepare the electrode material, and we also fabricated the Coin cell supercapacitors. In the second study, different ratio (20, 25, 30, 35 wt%) of the Ruthenium oxide(RuO2) were combined with carbon aerogel to prepare the electrode material of supercapacitor, and we took composite powder of 30 wt% RuO2/CA to fabricate the Aluminum foil type supercapacitor. Finally, the characterization of the composite electrode material of MoS2/KOH-AC and different ratio RuO2/CA system were verified by using BET, FTIR, SEM, XRD and XPS, and also utilized Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) and Chronopotentiometry (CP) to measure the specific capacitance and cycle performance. |
