The Effect Study of Group Counseling for Adolescent Sexual Offenders in Hualien Juvenile Court

| Popis: | 103 The number of the adolescent committed in the sexual assault is increasing recently, it has risen up to second degree in violent crime patterns. The statistic report from the Protective Services Division in the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Taiwan shows the case in the announcement of the sexual offenders under the age of 18 years old in Hualien, have increasing 2.55 times from 2007 to 2014. The development of adolescents' personality and mentality are immature and unstable. They might be changed, if professional intervention and counseling assistance would be offered timely. Therefore, this study attempts to explore the group counseling program system for adolescent sexual offenders in Hualien Juvenile Court, and then promote suggestions. From the perspective on ecological systems to understand factors in the juvenile sexual assault occurred, and introduced the group in therapeutic factors, the recidivism prevention-oriented cognitive behavioral therapy, and good lives model emerging, as a basis for research questions. The semi-structured depth interview was adopted as the method for this study, and it was an exploratory research. Nine interviewees were chosen in this study. Interviews with two adolescents and the counselors, juvenile investigation officers or protection officers in Hualien District Court, and group therapists and parents of the juvenile sexual offenders. The results of the study demonstrate that：（1）According to the concept of network cooperation, clear work division, function complementary, multiple information will contribute to the integration of information and resources for those juvenile sexual offenders.（2）Workable the early intervention system. Provided early intervention counseling at the onset of problem behaviors for those adolescents, and also extended and refined the services for those adolescents and his family.（3）Psychodynamic approached is more applicable than educational approached group intervention to adolescent.（4）Strengths perspective and relapse prevention based cognitive behavioral group therapy will enhance the self-exploration, repaired the personal evaluation in functional and live aspects, and will also increase the ability of internal control and the stability of daily lives. Two suggestions are proposed according to the research.（1）The government should provide the specific fees and strengthen the training in professional experts to develop the estimating tools in local adolescents and promote the parenting education in specific families. （2）The practitioner should hold the parenting seminar and build the evaluating resources integrations to follow tracing mechanism, the difference between the members of group and special skilling to rise up the parenting ability.
