Popis: | 102 This research explores learning efficiency difference between traditional narrative teaching method and computer-assisted instruction on the eighth graders. The experiment took a Quasi-experimental approach to discover if different teaching methods would affect in learning efficiency of the eighth graders, using remedial instructions by using pre-test and post-test design. Experimental samples were taken from one junior high school in Miaoli county by two classes eighth graders. One class was utilized as the experimental group and the other one as the control group. The blended teaching with computer-assisted instructional method was applied to the experimental group while the traditional narrative teaching method was utilized with the control group. The experimental teachings were conducted to 12 classes for twelve weeks. After completion of the experimental teachings, the study results indicated that the students obtained significant progress in their listening. The students gave positive feedback to computer-assisted instruction. The researcher proposed educational implications to English teachers, researchers as well as policy makers, and provided suggestions for further studies based on the limitations of the study. |
