The Effects of Instant Messaging to Personality Traits and Interpersonal relationship for Sixth grade Students

| Popis: | 102 With technological development and change, Instant Messaging Software becomes a popular tool for instant communication. Its convenience and lively variety of textures, children talk about with their peers and even influence their relationships. In this study, a questionnaire survey was used to examine sixth-grade students of one elementary school in New Taipei City. According to the statistical analysis of Chi-square Test, T-test, One-way ANOVA and Simple Linear Regression used for the data analysis.The main purpose was to explore the differences of varied background in personality, the usage of instant messaging software and interpersonal relations of sixth-grade students. The results of this study found that Facebook Messenger and LINE were the most popular software among sixth-grade students. Girls using seniority were earlier than boys. In addition, the utilization of instant messenger had significant influence on the instant messenger for their interpersonal relationships. Positive personality traits have significant predictive on actual interpersonal relationships; openness, conscientiousness personality traits have significant predictive on instant interpersonal relationships. The interpersonal relationships of Sixth grade students have difference because of frequency of using instant messaging. |
