This study was aimed to investigate the effects of information technology integrated into physical education on running performance for the 4th grade students and compare it with traditional physical education. The quasi-experimental design with purposive sampling method was applied. The subjects were two classes of the 4th grade students from an elementary school in Tainan city. It was randomized that one class as the experimental group was 26 and the other as the control group was 25. The total experiment time was 24 classes between 12 weeks. Based on the statistical analysis of the pre-tests and post-tests of running speed, physical education learning attitudes, and motor skills on relay race, the study results were concluded as follows: 1. Students in the experimental group significantly revealed higher scores in the post-tests of 60-meter running speed, 800-meter running speed, physical education learning attitudes, and those of sub-scales on cognitive domain, affective domain, behavior intention domain, and motor skill performance on relay race. 2. Students in the experimental group had scores significantly higher than the control group on the post-tests of physical education learning attitudes, cognitive domain, affective domain, behavior intention domain, and motor skill performance on relay race. 3. There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group on 60-meter running speed and 800-meter running speed in the post-tests.
