Popis: | 101 This study aims to determine the relationship between life adaptation and learning performance of new immigrant children in elementary schools. This study used self-designed questionnaire to collect data from the new immigrant children in elementary schools of New Taipei City. The target groups are 449 students, it represents 81.07% of response rate. Statistical analyses include descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. New immigrant children’s life adaptation is pretty well when compare to their counterpart’s. 2. New immigrant children’s learning performance is better than do the expected level. 3. There are differences in new immigrant children’s perception on their life adaptation because of their parental education, mother’s vocation, and school locations. 4. New immigrant children’s gender, family structure, mother’s education and vocation, and school locations will affect their learning performance. 5. The life adaptation has shown low positive correlation with the learning performance in new immigrant children. 6. The degree of new immigrant children’s life adaptation will affect their performance in learning. Based on the findings, this study provides some suggestions for the educational authorities, the school educators, and those who for further study in this field. |
