Popis: | 101 Digital game industry (DGI) is one of the major industries promoted by Taiwan government, but the competencies of its practitioners remain to be clarified. The purpose of this study was to analyze the competencies for the entry-level (DGI) project designer. The blocks model developed by the,U.S Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration (ETA),was employed. Both literature review and expert interview were conducted to develop a list of necessary competencies; then a focus group comprised of 6 panelists was invited to discuss the list based on ETA’s blocks models and divided the competency model into five levels (personal effectiveness, academic competencies, workplace competencies, industry-wide technical competencies and industry-sector technical competencies). This study concludes that the roles of entry-level project designer in DGT can be divided into the following four groups: the proposal initiator, the content planner, the coordinator, and the system designer. This study also identifies the duties and competencies required in each role. There are 22 responsibilities and 37 competency categories that can be selectively assigned to the four aforementioned roles. The result can be used as the reference basis for the recruitment, selection, training, examination and employee retention of entry-level project designer. |
