Popis: | 101 The juvenile stage is the most critical period in shaping self-concept. The higher the positive self-concept, the stronger the ability of self-control to adapt life. Behavioral deviations and violations should be reduced as a result. If we can alter the juvenile’s self-concept, it is expected that the juvenile’s adaptation to life can be enhanced and reduce the violations and recidivism rates. This study investigates the relationship between juvenile‘s self-concept and life adjustment. By sampling 206 male juveniles from three juvenile detention houses in Northern Taiwan, the results of this study show that: (1) Self-concept is positively and significanely influence live adjustment; (2) Age moderates the relationships between self-concept and live adjustment; (3) Number of crimes moderates the relationships between self-concept and live adjustment. The results of this study are discussed, and make recommendations. |
