| Popis: | 100 LED is small size, long life, low heat output, energy savings and durability etc.. LED has a wide range of applications such as indicator lamp, fax machine, scanner light source, backlight, outdoor signboard, advertising signboard, automobile lighting, traffic light and in house lighting. The LED will not produce any ultraviolet, no harmful substances that will pollute the environment. To implement more energy saving and reduce carbon release, countries begin schedule to phase out the incandescent lighting. Taiwan's government decide to disable the incandescent lighting in 2012. If LED is used in lighting, it can save us 40% of electricity; about NT$ 267,500,000,000 dollars can be saved a year and the carbon release significantly reduced. Taiwan has a comprehensive value chain in the LED industry and has number one capacity in the world. The main gaps in LED supply chain in Taiwan are the LED patents and industry integration. Furthermore, Taiwan manufacturers need to overcome industry overcapacity and develop business models to improve their competitive edge. Successful firms must pursue right company strategies such as improving technology (luminous efficiency), integration, strategic alliance to be more competitive. In addition, China with the most explosive market potential was considered the next battlefield for the LED manufacturers. |
