Empress Wu was the only one female emperor in Chinese history. She also had a non-negligible effect on the poetry of early Tang Dynasty during her administrative control for nearly five decades. Empress Wu liked the poem and created some poems by herself. Her themes of the poem were focused on the Sacrificial Poetry which be held with every political festival. Poetry and politics were closely combined to be the means for her to boast the authoritarian.Banquet landscape poetry has a beautiful mood and makes the feeling and setting be happily blended, and neat antithesis. Other poems also fully demonstrated Empress Wu’s extraordinary art of poetry. Her poetry which has magnificent features and depiction of real mountains and rivers led the creative approach at that time. Empress Wu promoted consciously the innovation of examination system during early Tang Dynasty and reinvented the employee, also restructure the social status.The scholars group of Empress Wu reign is also the main creative approach at that time. They learned from each other by an exchange of views and promoted the development process of metrical poetry, studied poetry and trained the skills and improved the art of poetry meaning so as to the poetic verses dvelopment foundation High T''ang poetry. She had a non-negligible effect on the poetry. To research the her effect on poetry of early Tang Dynasty will be more comprehensive look at the whole context of the development of Tang .
