Popis: | 98 This discourse of my artworks focuses on a way of talking, thinking and feeling. I try to find an expressive way based on the structure of my art-making experiences and the circumstances of self-awareness established by alternating, interweaving and stacking the thinking and feeling experiences. It is also inspired by Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844-1900), Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995), and Michel Foucault (1926-1984). Before this discourse, I want to start with the meaning of the title “I’m walking on a road, which has been asphalted and its name has been changed….” This is a discourse to my works’ process named “The Name of That Road Has Been Changed.” Yet the new name is still not decided. It also means that I can face myself. An object which can realize the existence of itself; An object which can have a conversation with itself; An object also can adjust, ruminate, and continuously extract to reinforce itself by its honest willing. It’s a path waiting for a new name. “That Road” represents a start, a journey and an image for every aspect of my works. It is for the reflection of my works’ origin, a trail of my thoughts, and the state of my creation. “Name Changed” is an expectation which intends for a new possible name. This is a path to a process of recognization; therefore it takes certain change to adjust. Once the change comes into the path, I have to face those incomplete feelings. I have experienced communication failure. However, this failure arises a power to a certainty which helps me to exceed, a breakthrough, an inspiration, and the creativities of making art. Making art is my way to express the thoughts. Everything starts from making an artwork. “Spontaneousness” and “Experience” are the power of life conflux. They do powerful effect to myself through the separation, the crush and the repeating of the conflict feelings. Why do I make art? Why is there any urgency? It is personal and spontaneous. It’s also a total of my power and my ability of thinking. I research it in an undesirable language. |
