| Popis: | 98 Background/purpose: Ancient Chinese herbal product ginseng and its active ingredients have been showed as antioxidant substances. The present study was designed to investigate protective effect of Dammarane Oligo-Sapogenin (DS, exclusively extracted from ginseng) against exhaustive exercise-induced oxidative damage in liver. Methods: In the present study 100 male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were equally divided into five groups including placebo (0.9 % saline), DS (0.1 mg/kg), DS20 (20 mg/kg), DS60 (60 mg/kg) and DS120 (120 mg/kg bodyweight) groups, and DS groups received respective doses orally for a period of 10 weeks.
