The Key Success Factor of Taiwan Enterprises' Investment in Vietnam - The Case Study for a Garment Industry

| Popis: | 98 Along with the internationalization trend, more and more Taiwan enterprises outward FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) to Vietnam, especially in garment industry. In that investment process of Taiwan enterprises, which factors should be more important and prior to consider? In this research, we study and analyze the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), to discuss the factors that effect to the outward FDI of Taiwan enterprises and their successes. Based on many research results, specialist interviews and survey results, we set up a structure among successful factors of Taiwan enterprises, who outward FDI in Vietnam’s garment industry, and got 3 main configurations, 20 major factors and 19 indexes that allow to evaluate in details. In this research, we received 30 efficient surveys. Through using the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the analytical results pointed out that the most important main configuration is “the configuration of Taiwan enterprises itself” and that the most important main factor is “the factor of enterprise management ability”. In the process of analyzing the results, we discovered that the most favorable location for Taiwan enterprises to outward FDI in Vietnam’s garment industry are industrial zones in Hochiminh City and Danang province. The most favorable foreign investment model in Vietnam is wholly owned subsidiary. |
